Die Reispapierleuchten werden in Handarbeit aus durchscheinendem Washi-Papier gefertigt, das aus der inneren Rinde des Maulbeerbaums gewonnen wird. Der Designer vergleicht das Licht des Reispapiers mit Sonnenlicht, das durch traditionelle Papiertüren gefiltert wird – die Lichtskulpturen erzeugen ein warmes Leuchten und eine angenehme Atmosphäre.
