“Ik was op de handelsbeurs van Frankfurt en presenteerde mijn nieuwe collectie, ontwikkeld met behulp van LED-circuits. Ik zag een Japanse dame naar mijn lampen wijzen en herhaaldelijk “wa wa” zeggen. Ik liep naar haar toe en toen ik haar nieuwsgierig naar de reden vroeg, zei ze dat “wa” “perfect” betekende. Ik was ontroerd en bedankte haar; Ik keek naar de lamp, die nog steeds naamloos was, en besloot hem “Wa Wa” te noemen.
