Stonyhurst College werd opgericht in 1593 en is nog steeds een van de meest prestigieuze kostscholen van het Verenigd Koninkrijk. De Stonyhurst-collectie, een bewerking van de Ampleforth-collectie, transformeert op vergelijkbare wijze de door Timothy Oulton ontworpen reiskoffers tot functionele meubels. De collectie behoudt alle kenmerken van traditioneel vakmanschap in de constructie en details, maar experimenteert tegelijkertijd met een reeks innovatieve afwerkingen, waaronder de befaamde Spitfire-afwerking. In tegenstelling tot de Ampleforth heeft de Stonyhurst geen opklapbaar deksel. Alle lederen afwerkingen, evenals de glanzende en zwarte stalen opties en de geoxideerde massief messing uitvoering, zijn voorzien van houten banden. De Spitfire- en Aero-afwerkingen zijn zonder banden verkrijgbaar.
