De Lava Cone-tafellamp creëert bij het openen een betoverende, licht hallucinerende gloed, waardoor een boeiend effect van gesmolten heet glas ontstaat. In gesloten toestand ontstaat er een spiegeleffect. Het straalt een betoverend, nauwelijks waarneembaar licht uit.
