De lampenserie werd jarenlang geproduceerd en verkocht door het Noorse elektriciteitsbedrijf Sønnico (Oslo). In 1954 werd de tafellamp, destijds bekend als “s-30016”, bekroond met de zeer gewaardeerde Gouden Medaille op de Triënnale van Milaan.
In 2013 besloten we deze designklassieker opnieuw op de markt te brengen, waarbij we ervoor zorgden dat de oorspronkelijke vorm en de zeer functionele kenmerken, die hem in eerste instantie tot zo'n geliefde lamp maakten, behouden bleven. De Birdy lampenserie is verkrijgbaar in de kleur wit of grijs met stalen afwerking en in de kleur zwart met zwarte of messing metalen afwerking.
