“Ero alla Fiera di Francoforte, presentando la mia nuova collezione sviluppata utilizzando circuiti LED. Ho visto una signora giapponese che indicava le mie lampade e diceva ripetutamente "wa wa". Sono andato verso di lei e quando incuriosito le ho chiesto il motivo, mi ha detto che “wa” significava “perfetto”. Mi sono commosso e l'ho ringraziata; Ho guardato la lampada, che era ancora senza nome, e ho deciso di chiamarla “Wa Wa”.
