La lampada da lavoro orientabile ILE è composta da un gruppo base, riflettore, stelo e base portalampada in alluminio verniciato. Un meccanismo con giunto sferico magnetico sulla parte superiore dello stelo consente una regolazione fluida del paralume. L'elemento base contiene una sorgente luminosa LED dedicata.
Come le sedie pieghevoli rispetto a quelle normali, le lampade a pinza non raggiungono lo stesso status delle lampade da tavolo. Sembra ingiusto, perché le lampade a pinza sono molto utili. Forse è legato al loro utilizzo unico e al fatto che quando non sono bloccati sembrano infermi, incapaci di reggersi da soli senza perdere l'equilibrio o cadere.
