La forma aerodinamica di Acorn è stata ispirata da una forma naturale, conferendogli contorni organici e un profilo sobrio. L'ombra ricorda il guscio vuoto di una ghianda, che diventa cavo una volta che la noce matura si è staccata. Come lo stelo di una ghianda, la parte superiore del paralume si assottiglia in una forma tattile.
Snella e sofisticata, la lampada è sospesa al soffitto tramite un cordone di seta che nasconde al suo interno il cavo di alimentazione. La lampada si fissa al soffitto con un rosone realizzato nello stesso stile del paralume.
