KUU, que significa luna en finlandés, está diseñado para proporcionar luz directa e indirecta simplemente girando el círculo interior del colgante. El ángulo de rotación es ilimitado debido a un enlace inalámbrico de electricidad entre las piezas.
La lámpara colgante KUU se inspiró en la iluminación ambiental. Quería crear una lámpara que fuera ajustable de iluminación directa a indirecta según las necesidades versátiles que tenemos de luz durante los distintos momentos del día. La movilidad de la lámpara le aporta una figura en constante cambio que forma medias lunas y formas redondas de diferentes tamaños, recordándonos la forma de la luna durante varios períodos.
