Visualmente, el High Line es una escultura de luz, una línea esbelta que emite luz sin revelar su origen. La lámpara de pie genera luz indirectamente por reflexión, y, excepcionalmente, la luz no rebota en el techo, sino en la pared. Su diseñador busca que la pared devuelva la luz emitida. La pared es el mejor aliado de esta lámpara, y buscan mantener la cercanía.
Formalmente, se trata de una composición de volúmenes y colores. Tres bloques que destacan por sus formas y tonos: el elemento vertical, portador de luz, en roble o wengué, está unido a un bloque de madera lacada. Ambos se alzan sobre la base negra, que define la distancia óptima entre la lámpara y la pared para generar una fuente de luz ideal. La austeridad de sus formas contrasta con la calidez de la madera y la profundidad de sus colores.
