La forma estilizada de Acorn se inspiró en una forma natural, dándole contornos orgánicos y un perfil discreto. El tono se asemeja a la cáscara vacía de una bellota, que se vuelve hueca una vez que la nuez madura se ha liberado. Como el tallo de una bellota, la parte superior de la pantalla se estrecha hasta adquirir una forma táctil.
Estilizada y sofisticada, la lámpara está suspendida del techo mediante un cordón de seda que oculta el cable de alimentación en su interior. La lámpara se fija al techo con un dosel elaborado en el mismo estilo que la pantalla.
