„Ich war auf der Frankfurter Messe und habe meine neue Kollektion vorgestellt, die mit LED-Schaltkreisen entwickelt wurde. Ich sah eine Japanerin, die auf meine Lampen zeigte und immer wieder „wa wa“ sagte. Ich ging auf sie zu und als ich sie neugierig nach dem Grund fragte, antwortete sie mir, „wa“ bedeute „perfekt“. Ich war berührt und dankte ihr; Ich schaute auf die noch namenlose Lampe und beschloss, sie „Wa Wa“ zu nennen.
