Diese Muscheln werden von Kunsthandwerkern in Capiz, Philippinen, handgefertigt, wo die Muscheln von lokalen Fensteraustern geerntet werden. In einem komplett handgefertigten Prozess wird jede Schale gereinigt, geschnitten, bemalt, mit feinen Messingbändern eingerahmt, aufgereiht und an einem messingbeschichteten Rahmen befestigt. Ein leuchtendes Beispiel für Handwerkskunst.
