Die Ballettlampen sind vom Rock einer Balletttänzerin inspiriert, der in einer wunderschönen Kurve von der Taille abwärts hängt. Die parabolische Kurve entsteht, wenn ein Blatt an einem Ende horizontal gehalten wird und am anderen Ende frei herabhängt. Schwerkraft und die Steifheit des Materials formen das Blatt. Auf diese Weise entsteht von Natur aus eine Kurve. Die Kurve inspirierte dazu, die Blätter in einem Kreis anzuordnen, wodurch die parabolische Form entstand.
