KUU, che significa luna in finlandese, è progettata per fornire luce diretta e indiretta semplicemente ruotando il cerchio interno della sospensione. L'angolo di rotazione è illimitato grazie al collegamento elettrico senza fili tra le parti.
La sospensione KUU è ispirata all'illuminazione atmosferica. Ha voluto creare una lampada regolabile dall'illuminazione diretta a quella indiretta a seconda delle versatili esigenze che abbiamo di luce durante i diversi momenti della giornata. La mobilità della lampada le conferisce una figura in costante cambiamento che forma mezzelune e forme rotonde di diverse dimensioni, ricordandoci la forma della luna nei vari periodi.
